1967 428 CJ Rods/GT 500 /427/428/390/ Cobra Jet
Offered for your consideration is a set of vintage Con-Rods head from the 1967 Shelby GT500 model year. These rods will fit any FE engine application but were specially suited and produced for the seven litre engines of 1967. These rods have the 19/32 cap nuts and huge journal heels for EXTREME duty! Also you will see in the photos that the Balancing points have TONS of meat to them so the anvils can be worked to accommodate even the most unbalanced crank. Those of you who owned these will remember they were beastly engines that produced Gobs of power, subsequently an enormous number of these were destroyed in racing events the world over. These rods were magna-fluxed and no flaws whatsoever were found. This service was performed by Mustang Specialties in Pompano Beach Florida.
